Amsterdam Economic Board is the regional network that connects decision-makers and change agents from companies, knowledge institutions, governments and social organizations in coalitions. To achieve joint goals and breakthroughs in transitions that players cannot realize alone. ROM InWest also works together on a future-proof regional economy.
Amsterdam AI, an initiative of Amsterdam knowledge institutions, research and medical centers, the municipality of Amsterdam and Amsterdam Economic Board, works on the human-oriented, fair, just, safe and reliable application of AI within numerous domains, including Business Innovation, Citizens and Health. Amsterdam AI also wants to strengthen the international position of the Amsterdam metropolitan region in the field of artificial intelligence. Collaboration partners, including ROM InWest, contribute to this with state-of-the-art research programs, education, practice-oriented applications and public-private partnerships.
Amsterdam InBusiness is the official foreign investment agency of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The agency supports foreign companies with their establishment and business operations in the capital and beyond. In addition to drawing up a convincing business case for setting up an office in Amsterdam, Amsterdam InBusiness helps with every development phase of the company – all free of charge and without a hidden agenda.
Amsterdam Trade & Innovate supports companies from the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area in their internationalisation. The agency is part of Economic Affairs Amsterdam and belongs to a network of government organisations that promote growth in the most important economic regions of the Netherlands. The focus of Amsterdam Trade & Innovate is on innovative solutions for urban and social challenges.
Amsterdam UMC is the name under which the two academic hospitals of Amsterdam present themselves. These are the hospitals where innovative medicine and top medical science go hand in hand. ROM InWest regularly works together with Amsterdam UMC to test and develop innovative solutions from North Holland entrepreneurs for healthcare (within the Life Sciences Health sector) in practice.
The Amsterdam Climate & Energy Fund (AKEF) supports projects in the realization phase and companies with a limited track record to obtain regular bank financing. The fund can also offer long-term financing. Only projects and companies that contribute to the Climate Neutral Roadmap and the Amsterdam Circular Strategy are eligible for financing. Because the AKEF, like us, has a strong 'green' focus, we regularly invest together in companies.
As the trade association of private equity firms in the Netherlands, the Dutch Private Equity Firms Association (NVP) is the point of contact for anyone who wants to know more about these investors. The NVP's mission is to strengthen smart capital. Because we also pursue this, we regularly work together with the NVP.
The GO!-NH Accelerator is an acceleration program for SMEs and startups who want to contribute to a clean, sustainable and healthy world and whose product or service is still in the development phase. In addition to the acceleration program for startups, GO!-NH offers the Growth program for companies that are further along and want to grow, and the Scale program for scale-ups and larger SMEs that want to tap into new markets. GO!-NH also ensures that you can present your innovation to serious investors, partners, potential customers and other relevant parties in the market.
Horizon has been offering training courses for people and organisations for 40 years to encourage them to be and remain meaningful and to get the best out of themselves. Both experienced and young professionals, but also managers and entrepreneurs receive tips for personal leadership and talent development. Through a personal approach, focused on the business, Horizon inspires trainees to take a new step in their development. ROM InWest regularly works with Horizon for training courses focused on entrepreneurs.
The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) is an educational institution for higher education (hbo), located in Amsterdam. In addition to the range of regular higher education, the HvA also has a broad circle of lecturers, who conduct practice-oriented research for education and in collaboration with social organizations and companies in the region. In this context, ROM InWest regularly works together with the HvA on innovative solutions from entrepreneurs for the Life Sciences Health (LSH) sector.
