This is what we stand for

Healthy growth makes entrepreneurs stronger

At ROM InWest, the innovative entrepreneur takes centre stage. We offer not only much-needed investment, but also guidance, knowledge and access to our network - all to increase the chances of success. Our approach gives entrepreneurs guidance and a clear path to take their ideas forward, from first customer to successful scale-up.

our
visie

At ROM InWest, the innovative entrepreneur takes centre stage. We offer advice and guidance in every growth phase, enabling companies to grow in a healthy way. What makes us unique is that business development and investment come together under one roof. As a result, guidance and financing fit well together. Our approach, based on the GRIDT method, offers clear steps and milestones. In this way, we efficiently and purposefully prepare entrepreneurs for financing opportunities in the region and increase their chances of success and sustainable growth.

Our
Core values

Our three core values determine how we work and interact with each other at ROM InWest. We use them not only as a guideline for ourselves, but also as inspiration for entrepreneurs, our partners and society. Our core values are:

Entrepreneurial and impact-driven

The entrepreneur is at the heart of everything we do. We offer professional, effective and flexible support with social impact as the main driver.

Connecting & curious

Innovation comes from entrepreneurship, knowledge, money and a network. That is why we are open to others and want to learn continuously. We work transparently and in close cooperation with regional companies, knowledge institutions and governments to achieve results quickly and effectively.

Inclusive

We believe in a society in which everyone can fully participate, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual preference, age or education. Based on our conviction that more diversity leads to higher quality, we not only want to be a diverse organization ourselves, but we also like to invest in inclusive companies.

Which transitions are we accelerating?

Impact-driven as we are, we at ROM InWest do not just help any entrepreneur. We only invest in your company if you are an ambitious startup, scale-up or SME entrepreneur with an innovation that is able to accelerate the food transition, energy transition, care transition and/or transition to a circular economy. Through these transitions we work on our mission: a sustainable regional economy with equal opportunities for everyone - both for the world of tomorrow and for the generations after us.

How we
make
impact

Where and how much impact we make as ROM InWest depends entirely on the companies and entrepreneurs we support. Your innovations make the difference. Our compass for our ultimate impact are the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the seventeen goals to make the world a better place in 2030. For example, with regard to poverty, education and the climate.

Building coalitions

Where necessary for a resilient and innovative economy, ROM InWest builds coalitions. When knowledge institutions, governments, financiers and companies know how to find each other, knowledge is applied faster and innovation becomes more powerful. Sharing and exploiting innovation not only increases the region's economic clout, but also the social impact of entrepreneurs.
