Accelerate Housing Acceleration Programme (AWV)

The pressure on the housing market in our country is enormous. There is therefore a great need for solutions that remove bottlenecks in the building process and enable faster construction. Innovative entrepreneurs play a key role in this. That is why there is the Acceleration Programme Residential Construction Acceleration, which supports start-ups and scale-ups that contribute to accelerated construction with their solutions.

Who is this programme for?

Startups and scale-ups working on innovations within

  • industrialised housing construction,
  • energy solutions that help reduce grid congestion,
  • installation,
  • prefabricated or
  • area development.

The programme is best suited to you if your business is already generating substantial revenue, has a solid team and several clients, and is scaling up.

We are also considering developing a programme for companies at an earlier stage. More information on this will follow.

What does the programme get you?

Based on critical questions, targeted assignments and joint sessions with other entrepreneurs, you will work on sharpening your proposition, market position and growth path. You will receive intensive guidance from experienced experts and business developers of NOM, ROM InWest, Horizon Flevoland and ROM Utrecht Region. A crucial aspect is market validation: examining and testing whether there is a market for your product or idea.

We use Gritd's Startup Framework©. Its strong focus on market validation and scalability gives you clear insight into what is needed to take the next step of growth. By working with market data, customer insights, market validation techniques and clear growth milestones, you lay a solid foundation for consistent growth and scalability. This structured approach helps you grow in a targeted way, reduce the risk of failure and create sustainable value.

You will also gain access to a relevant network of public and private parties within the housing, energy and installation chain. Thus, the programme will help you move from solution to application faster and contribute to accelerated housing construction.

Building homes faster: your vision counts!

During each session, we will also specifically discuss with you and the other entrepreneurs the challenges and possible solutions to accelerate housing construction. In doing so, we invite policymakers and specialists from the national government, such as the Innovation and Scaling-up Residential Construction Programme (IOP) (which contributes to a fundamental system change in residential construction and area development), TKI Bouw en Techniek (catalyst for scalable innovations in the design, construction and engineering sector) and the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning. Your innovative vision and ideas are highly valued in this. As a participant, you will also be an active part of a national innovative ecosystem working to accelerate and future-proof Dutch housing construction. Together, we go for faster construction!

Organization and partners

The Accelerating Residential Construction Programme for startups and scale-ups was initiated by the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning, the ROMs, TKI Construction and Technology and is part of programme line 3 of Innovation and Scale-up Programme for Residential Construction. The programme is funded by the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning and implemented in cooperation with TKI Bouw and Techniek.
