The demand for energy-generating facades is growing rapidly, while suitable products are lacking. In the solar world, everything revolves around standardization and optimal yields, but in the construction world, people are not waiting for the integration of classic black solar panels in facades because they are difficult to combine with the aesthetic wishes of users.
Solarix designs, develops and supplies coloured solar panels. This results in beautiful, sustainable energy-generating facades. Solarix supplies the panels and mounting systems to (facade) builders and/or directly to project developers or building owners.
In 2015, Solarix won with their prototype of an aesthetic solar panel for facade applications. In the meantime, the product has proven itself, interest is growing strongly, and several projects have been realized.
Solarix focuses on new construction projects, residential construction or utility with a potential facade surface of at least 100m2 where the application of their design panels yields the most or is even a condition for obtaining an environmental permit. The solar panels are produced in Europe, the mounting system in the Netherlands and the assembly takes place in North Holland. For the mounting and E-installation of the solar panels in the projects, Solarix works with various parties that are mainly located in the Randstad and in North Holland.
At Solarix, product innovations are all about circularity, quality and a good price. To make products more circular, a unique mounting system has been developed. This system makes it possible to remove and exchange each panel individually. The system for 90% is made of recycled aluminum and produced in the Netherlands.
Solarix was looking for growth financing, among other things to develop a standardized modular product and to be able to meet the growing demand for projects faster with a stronger team. ROM InWest invests in Solarix to contribute to the energy transition and a strong regional economy.
