Good news for sustainability and innovation
The data centre sector faces huge challenges: increasing energy demand, pressure on power grids and the limits of current cooling technologies. Thanks to Asperitas' technology, the energy consumption of data centres can be drastically reduced. In doing so, the company contributes to climate goals, and strengthens the position of the Netherlands and North Holland as a breeding ground for sustainable digital innovations.
Scaling up to international impact
The new capital injection will allow Asperitas to further expand its solutions and grow internationally. The company focuses on both large-scale data centres and decentralised edge solutions (where there are multiple data processing points instead of one large central point). Asperitas is thus responding to the fast-growing demand for energy-efficient solutions for AI, high-performance computing and cloud applications. The investments will allow Asperitas’ solution to make data centres more sustainable worldwide.
Importance for the region
The investment is not only an important step for Asperitas itself, but also for the North Holland region. It directly contributes to the scale-up of a sustainable technology that has global impact, while at the same time strengthening knowledge, jobs and sustainable activity in North Holland. This will allow innovative companies with roots in our region to be at the forefront of the digital transition internationally. “With this investment, we can accelerate our mission: to help data centres worldwide use energy as effectively as possible and reduce their environmental impact,” said Rutger de Haij, CEO of Asperitas.
