Green Chemistry Accelerator (GCA)

Green chemistry plays a key role in the transition to a circular and energy-neutral economy. Are you an innovative entrepreneur working on making chemical processes more sustainable or recovering critical materials in the industry? And do you already have the technology, raw materials chain and market in view, but are now looking for the right next steps and a network to get into the next growth phase? Then the Green Chemistry Accelerator (GCA) might be your ‘ticket to growth’!

ROM InWest operates in rural Green Chemistry New Economy (GCNE) network, which is committed to making industry more sustainable. One of the tools that helps entrepreneurs in this field is the Green Chemistry Accelerator (GCA). During the GCA, we help you as an entrepreneur under personal guidance to explore how we can help your innovation move forward. Through various master classes and a boost to your network, we make sure you attract the right investors. Think about financing a pilot and demo plant. This is how we get your company ready for the next growth phase.

In the 2024 edition of GCA, we had the opportunity to accompany DOPS Recycling Technologies. This company, with a strong team, technology and innovation potential, has shown consistent growth during this period. This resulted in an investment (from a consortium of parties, including the ROM InWest) in 2025.

Sound and sustainable growth

“At ROM InWest, we understand how complicated it can be as an entrepreneur to get the economic and financial reality in focus from your technical innovation and social drive as well,” says senior business developer Birgitta Kramer of ROM InWest. “We are happy to help you, as we strive for an industry where innovative technologies and business models with game changers can contribute to a new economy without dependence on fossil resources. The mirror we hold up to you in the GCA can be confrontational, but will certainly help you achieve solid long-term growth.”
