Fortunately, helping innovative entrepreneurs grow their business to make a greater social impact in North Holland is not just our mission. There are many more parties in our region that stimulate innovation with a view to a more sustainable and fair economy. Think of knowledge institutions such as colleges and universities, the Province and municipalities, 'green' investment companies and certain networks. By working together as partners as much as possible, we can make an even greater difference together..
No matter how brilliant an initial idea is, it is often still quite a journey to arrive at an innovation that the market demands and that society can really benefit from. Knowledge and research are crucial for the development of such an idea, professional guidance helps a company to grow healthily and financing is often simply indispensable to be able to produce the 'market-ready' innovation on a large scale. At ROM InWest we help entrepreneurs with every part of this journey - all with the aim of turning their initial brilliant idea into a social impact.
Thanks to its many colleges, universities and other knowledge institutions, North Holland is a relatively 'smart' region – and therefore a perfect breeding ground for innovative entrepreneurs.
Together with our partners, we keep all that knowledge development going and ensure that impact entrepreneurs can easily access knowledge that is relevant to them, for example by setting up business hubs. In this way, we stimulate innovative entrepreneurship from the ground up.
How do you turn your wonderful innovation into a ready-made, welcome solution for the target group so that it sells on a large scale? Together with our partners, we guide entrepreneurs in developing their innovation into a 'market-ready' product that investors believe in. In this way, we ensure that innovations actually yield financial and social returns
to yield.
Almost no innovative startup, scale-up or SME entrepreneur escapes the well-known 'valley of death': the moment when external financing is crucial to be able to scale up. The question then is: how do you convince investors of your idea? We invest in innovative companies ourselves and help find additional financing. In this way, we ensure that important innovations have as much impact as possible, preferably far beyond our own region.
Please see below for an overview of the various partners we work with, Why we do that anda how.
