Opportunities for North Holland entrepreneurs
The cooperation is in line with the Ministry of Defence's ambition to invest heavily in innovation. The focus here is on so-called dual-use technologies - applications that can be used both civilian and military. Dual-use technologies not only contribute to the safety and resilience of the Netherlands, but also strengthen the future earning capacity of the region. For North Holland, this offers great opportunities. “This cooperation opens new doors for North Holland entrepreneurs working on innovative technologies. Our region has a strong and innovative ecosystem, with companies active in themes such as AI, drones and digital security. This way, we increase their chances of success and accelerate the application of dual-use technology for a resilient society,” said Janet Nieboer, CEO ROM InWest.
The official signing of the LOI took place during the Purple Nectar Event 2025 in Nijkerk.
