The regional governments consist of the province of North Holland and the following municipalities in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area and North Holland North: Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Alkmaar, Beverwijk, Den Helder, Edam-Volendam, Haarlem, Heemskerk, Hoorn, Hollands-Kroon, Landsmeer, Ouder-Amstel, Schagen Uithoorn, Velsen.
