attention to female entrepreneurs in the region. Because that is still necessary.
Female entrepreneurs receive up to 30% less funding than their male colleagues. Less
than 10% of total available funding and even less than 3% of venture capital goes to
female entrepreneurs. This is not only unfair, but also a missed opportunity for
innovation, growth and the economy. And as long as that inequality continues to exist, ROM InWest will continue to
to stake.
Equal opportunities for female entrepreneurs means more entrepreneurship, more equality
as well as a stronger economy. According to research by ABN AMRO and McKinsey, that would be as much as €139
billion extra for the Netherlands. That is why we at ROM InWest are accelerating the financing of
female entrepreneurs and support them in innovation. We will continue to do so until our
goal has been achieved.
For that reason, we are also a launching partner of Code-V, an initiative that helps female entrepreneurs with knowledge, network and capital. Within Code-V, more than a hundred public and private parties in the Netherlands work together to support and accelerate female entrepreneurship.
