4 Transities

Voor het versnellen van de transities voor deze tijd

At ROM InWest we focus on game changers: ambitious start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs that, with their innovations, are able to accelerate the food transition, the energy transition, digitalisation and/or the transition to a circular economy.

Welke transities versnellen rom inwest

Founded in 2021, ROM InWest is the youngest of the nine regional development companies in the Netherlands. As a BV with 23 public shareholders, we focus on promoting innovative entrepreneurship that is linked to high-quality innovation. We contribute to the transition to renewable energy, a circular economy, a more sustainable food system and smart (digital) solutions for society and health. Our goal: a robust and fair economy and a healthy living environment.

Digital transition

Regardless of the societal challenge you want to tackle as an entrepreneur, digitalization is almost always part of the solution you have devised. Data, computing power and a strong, sustainable digital infrastructure...

Energy transition

Food transition

In 2050, there will be 10 billion people who all want access to healthy and sustainable food, within the limits of our planet. To achieve this, our current food system needs to be overhauled...

Energie in

Where and how much impact we make as ROM InWest depends entirely on the companies and entrepreneurs we support. Your innovations make the difference. Our compass for our ultimate impact are the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the seventeen goals to make the world a better place in 2030. For example, with regard to poverty, education and the climate.
