DigiC

Are you helping to build the circular economy? Or are you accelerating housing construction with digital solutions? If so, DigiC can help you expand your network, gain knowledge and win or set up contracts. DigiC is a 'do-programme', where innovative entrepreneurs active in area development can join forces with large construction companies, the province and municipalities.

Because circular construction is the future. After all, we will need fewer raw materials and resources. As a result, we will reduce the burden on the environment and climate. Digitisation of construction offers huge opportunities to accelerate the transition to circularity.

The three pillars of DigiC

DigiC accelerates the digital transformation of construction by:
- Digitalisation of the built environment and data services: capture data from materials and circular construction projects and make it easily exchangeable. For example, with materials passports, BIM standards and digital twins (digital copies of physical processes or systems, used mainly for testing and analysis);
- Modular and factory building: accelerating the construction and design process using software, data standards and digital chains;
- Smart construction logistics: deploying new technologies that make construction logistics more efficient and sustainable. Examples include logistics software, traffic sensors and construction hubs.

What does DigiC offer?

The DigiC programme has now been running successfully in Utrecht for several years. Therefore, the programme is now also being rolled out in North Holland, Flevoland and the northern provinces, under the wings of the ROM Utrecht Region, ROM InWest, Oost-NL and the NOM.

Joining DigiC?

Nice. Then you benefit from:
- Access to a wide network: Thanks to a mature and diverse network, you get access to valuable connections through the DigiC;
- Quartermakers and boosters who help you as an entrepreneur or official find the right cooperation partners;
- Practical application of innovation projects where large and small (companies) collaborate on local area developments;
- Access to lessons learned from digitalisation in circular construction, at meetings or market innovation days.

Who is DigiC intended for?

DigiC is there for entrepreneurs and public parties who want to make work of the digital circular construction economy. For example as:
- you have a startup developing digital solutions to accelerate the circular economy;
- you have a (medium-)large construction company that wants to test innovations from the market and apply them in larger construction projects;
- As a construction company, you want to apply innovations from the market in larger projects;
- you as a municipality look for ways to build circular and accelerated together with the market.

Enthusiastic?

You can join and contribute to the DigiC community in two forms:
- As a captain: you have a say in the programme, linking and mediating in networks and contributing projects. You get priority on projects.
- As a member: you have an ambassadorial role, provide input for new solutions and contribute new ideas. You get access to a good network and acceleration of your project.

Both as a captain and as a member, DigiC asks for a financial contribution. In return, you get knowledge, a network, projects and a good dose of PR!
