Which of these groundbreaking startups will win the final ticket will become clear at the pitch event on January 21 in the Koepel in Haarlem – where ROM InWest is also located.
In addition to all the honor, attention and recognition, the remaining three North Holland companies also have a lot of business opportunities at stake. The regional winner will participate in the Amsterdam Economic Board partner network for free for a year and will win two tickets for Innovation for Health in April. The most important 'trophy' is of course participation in the national final on March 13, 2025, during the Health Valley Event. Prince Constantijn van Oranje will take care of the award ceremony with a festive, orange touch during the Zorg & ICT congress on April 9.
Boardroom pitch event
During the so-called Boardroom Pitchevent on 21 January, Pacmed, PAVA and Rezolve will pitch their innovations to a professional jury and the Zorg2040 partners (Amsterdam AI, Amsterdam Economic Board, Rabobank, Sigra and ROM InWest). The professional jury consists of Arianne van Lavieren (Zilveren Kruis), Jenny Tsin (Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland), Patrick van Eekeren (M&I/Partners) and Eric Hisgen (supervisor). The Zorg2040 partners have been organising successful Zorg2040 meetings together for years, including the regional preliminary round of the Zorginnovatieprijs.
“Selecting the best entries was again this year anything but easy for us as Zorg2040 partners,” says business developer Linze Rijswijk of ROM InWest. “The choice ultimately fell on the three nominated companies because they are innovative, have a convincing and scalable business model and can make a big impact in healthcare. It is a pity that only one company can go to the national final: because all three deserve a national podium and given their potential, all three are a potential winner of the national healthcare innovation award.”
About the regional nominees
PAVA: monitoring for elderly care
PAVA uses WiFi sensing technology to monitor the movements, location and sleep of residents in healthcare institutions. The aim of the system is to reduce the workload of healthcare staff and increase the quality of care, without storing privacy-sensitive data.
Rezolve Medical: revolutionary ankle-foot orthosis
Traditional ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) often fail due to discomfort and stiffness. The Rise AFO from Rezolve Medical solves this with a revolutionary design that applies forces through the shoe instead of the foot. This custom 3D printed solution provides optimal support with natural range of motion.
Pacmed Critical: better and more efficient IC care
How do we achieve better care and more efficient occupancy of ICU beds? Pacmed Critical developed an AI tool that uses hospital data to support better healthcare workflows, medical decisions, capacity predictions and task automation.
We wish the entrepreneurs success with pitching their innovation and we look forward to seeing who will win the final ticket and become the successor of the previous winner Ellogon!
