Are you looking for financing?

Do you have a smart solution that demonstrably has a social impact on the world of tomorrow? And are you looking for a professional investment partner to bring your innovation to the market or to scale it up further? At ROM InWest we are ready for you. We invest in game changers: startups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs that accelerate the food transition, the energy transition, the healthcare transition and/or the transition to a circular economy with innovations.

Finding funding for your startup: four points of attention and tips

No matter how brilliant and innovative an idea is, scaling up as a startup rarely succeeds without external financing. What really needs to be in order as soon as you enter the market for investors as a starting entrepreneur? Vincent Vierhout, fund manager MKB Fonds and investment manager at ROM InWest, shares four important points of attention and tips that increase your chance of success.

Financial and social return

Because we invest with public money at ROM InWest, our conditions are sometimes different from those of regular funds. We only provide financing if your innovation is groundbreaking in itself and contributes to innovation in North Holland (and the Netherlands), or if your company applies existing innovation in a new way - preferably in such a way that you accelerate the transitions (in)directly and/or contribute to a more social economy with opportunities for everyone. We also always check whether your business case itself is financially profitable and can grow healthily.
