At ROM InWest, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship to accelerate social change. We support ambitious start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs that contribute to the major transitions of our time with their innovations: from fossil to renewable energy, from linear to circular, from analogue to digital and to a more sustainable food system. Everything we do revolves around one goal: contributing to a sustainable economy and a healthy, future-proof living environment for North Holland.
ROM InWest has been active since 2021 as the youngest of the nine regional development companies in the Netherlands. As an impact-driven development and investment company, established as a BV with 23 public shareholders, we focus on stimulating innovative entrepreneurship that is closely linked to high-quality innovation. We strengthen existing ecosystems, initiate new collaborations, launch funds on the market and implement national schemes. In addition, we raise capital from home and abroad and fulfill a liaison function in the field of internationalization. All with the aim of enabling promising companies with social impact to grow healthily, so that they can mean even more to society and the economy.
