Brave New Food is a platform that food transition wants to accelerate by connecting startups, scale-ups and SMEs in sustainable or healthy food to investors. ROM InWest is also participating in the first investment round of Brave New Food.
Just like ROM InWest, Brave New Food believes that innovative entrepreneurs are the driving force behind the food transition. For young companies, that driving force mainly runs on financing. That is why Brave New Food connects innovative entrepreneurs in the food transition to investment parties that – with a view to health and sustainability – can provide financing themselves or via their network.
Submit a pitch
If you, as a food entrepreneur, want to have a chance of a loan, investment or subsidy from or via one of the affiliated investment parties, then submit a pitch to Brave New Food for your company and your solution. The form in which you do this is up to you. A requirement is that the solution demonstrably produces healthier food or contributes to a sustainable food industry. For example, in the form of sustainable packaging material, use of alternative proteins or reducing food waste.
Online matchmaking for food entrepreneurs
The first investment round of Brave New Food has recently opened and will run until September 17, 17:00. All companies that register for this round will be invited to an online matchmaking event on October 11 with the affiliated investors – including ROM InWest. This way, they will ultimately have a chance of receiving financing ranging from €250,000 to €2,500,000.
